Your tulips are beeeeeaaaauuuuutiful, Maggie!!! I love the way you've cropped and arranged the photos. Sigh. I wish my talent lay in visual things, because it's so much more interesting and pleasureable too see/make beautiful pictures.
Hmm...I'm thinking. Would you do things like as art? Would a collage like this print well?
Deb you have a great eye I haven't done anything you couldn't do-really. I took many photos before I could go into a zone where I saw the beauty and could photgragh it. Your writing I'm thinking is where you go to that timeless place? You know I have walked through life not trusting what I like-it was never good enough. This blog has been an avenue to just put things out there, no expectations, a little scary at times but a freeing experience to just trust what I like and has meaning for me.
I'm really, really glad you jumped in with your own blog. It's been an expansion of our friendship, I think! And so cool to see you here and there commenting. I love this environment.
I shot some tulips at the Botanic Garden (indoors!) a few weeks ago and ended up putting them on my sidebar - just because they made me feel good. I like your Mosaic treatment. I really like red - such a high energy color.
Came by to say Hi! As I spotted your litle face on my blog follower thingy this afternoon. I adore red shsoes, so you got me hooked immediately - and red tulips were a good substitue!
I love shadows. They facinate me. Rocks, pebbles send me to that timeless place. A day on a beach looking at rocks-mmmmmmmm. Being cooked for is pretty high on my list of favorite things. Photography also sends me to that place of timelessness and beauty.

Your tulip photos are beautiful, I especially liked the one you posted with the recipe, but failed to mention it at the time.
ReplyDeleteI go to that timeless place while viewing photos of our field flowers covered with honey bees.
